As implementing partner, the Global Water Operators' Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) calls on European water and sanitation companies to enter into partnerships with water utilities in third countries via the EU-WOP Programme.
Water Operators‘ Partnerships (WOPs) are partnerships at eye level between at least two water or wastewater companies, implemented on a non-profit basis. With their peer-to-peer learning approach, WOPs are strengthening the capacities of local water or wastewater companies in partner countries step by step. By jointly implementing operational and organisational changes at the financial, technical or management level, WOPs can contribute to the success of water sector reforms and to the sustainable improvement of vital services.
Over the next three years, the European Commission will support 20 to 30 WOPs with up to 8.3 million USD (250,000 USD to 450,000 USD per WOP). As implementing partner, the Global Water Operators' Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) calls on European water and sanitation companies to enter into partnerships with water utilities in third countries via the EU-WOP Programme.
Project proposals must be submitted to GWOPA by 15th of April 2021. The application documents (including detailed information package) are available in English, French and Spanish.
